I have been given the task of building out a web server on a windows server 2008 64 bit box. When I went to configure the web service extensions to my great surprise I could not find the option to do so. When I did some research I found the following:
"On systems with IIS 7, Web service extensions require that the IIS Metabase and IIS 6 Configuration Compatibility feature be installed. If it is not installed, the installation’s log file may show error -2147467259 to inform you that this feature may be required."
I am trying to confirm that is in fact the case and web service extensions require a compat feature install.
Thanks to all that read!
Sincerely,
Wishing this was windows server 2003 still
