We are running a win2k3 server with IIS, we have people accessing from trusted domains. Users with win2k get prompted for authentication but by clicking OK they go through. However XP users need to enter credentials to get through. Is this a setting in XP or the server? Can this be removed so we can get pass through without prompting?

IIS6 and authentication

In internet options go to security, internet and custom level and scroll to bottom ensure prompt for user name and password is not selected and on your server go to the property page of your web site and ensure under security you have enabled annonomous access.
