Hi,

I've installed PHP 3 times now and reinstalled IIS 5.1 twice on my XP Pro machine.

I've followed countless threads regarding the php.ini and the isapi dll , I've configured them again and again.

However everytime I try to view any PHP page via localhost I just get a 404 - not found error, yet the php file does exist.

Why is this happening and how do I fix it.

Thanks,
1DMF.

This is winding me up!

i just decided to cull my registry from anything that mentioned PHP and I didn't like the look of , restarted my PC and now the phpinfo is running?

I had stopped the website in IIS and World Wide Web Publishing service in services and restarted them both after any changes I made.

Why after a reboot and the odd reg-key culling would it start working?

Looks like this WP famous 5 minute install is going to take me 5 days!
