I have recently setup a Windows 2003 IIS 6.0 web server in a dmz and need to have email sent through the SMTP Virtual Server. My Exchange 2000 box is in my internal network. When I try to send mail through the site it works for all external mail but not for internal mail. I went into the properties of the IIS Virtual server and setup the relay and also on the exchange 2000 server were I added the IP address of that machine. I have a DNS forward lookup for the machine. When i go into the inetpub/mailroot/queue on the web server I can see all my mail sitting there. What should I be looking at that could be creating this issue?

Thanks in advance

You would need to know WHY is stays there, check the logs first, a reason must be logged or in the Events.
