HELP!
Here is what i have:

Server 2003 running IIS
Linksys Router (firewall)
Cable Modem with fixed IP

I can't access my website (single domain). I am using an external DNS server ( and have verified that DNS lookup is working. This is what i get with nslookup:

> aecltd.net
Server: nsin1.flyasiana.com
Address: 165.141.113.1

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: aecltd.net
Address: 65.34.17.106

I have forwarded the static ip to my static ip on my server on the linksys (http, pop3, smtp...etc.). And have verified that the port are open (using NetScanner).

I have setup IIS on the server for my static IP address (good/bad?).

This is what i get when i ping:

Pinging with 72 bytes of data:

Replay from 10.31.71.25: bytes=56 time=-1106483086ms TTL=251
Replay from 0.0.0.0: bytes=0 time<10ms TTL=0
Replay from 10.31.71.25: bytes=56 time=-1106482075ms TTL=251
Replay from 0.0.0.0: bytes=0 time<10ms TTL=0

I think that my problem might be here...when i perform the DN to IP conversion my DN points to my static ip but when i do the IP to DN it points to this:

rrcs-se-65-34-17-106.biz.rr.com

(BTW my cable service is with rr as you might notice.) Do i need to use rr for my DNS server? Should i use my the static ip (behind firewall) in IIS or the static ip that rr gave me?

FYI: I am able to access my FTP server from outside but not remote desktop (can from inside the lan). Everything worked fine when using TZO but since getting my static ip my website has been down for over 2 months!

Thanks for your help...any help!
Jay

Here is my suggestion, Use to host your DNS, Find out what your IP address is from rr, go to zoneedit and setup your domain name and ip address to point to your WAN address of your router. From your router configuration, set that up to point port 80 to your server ip address, change your website properties to accept any ip address...This should work as your network setup is the same as mine.
