hi all,
A few times a week, our webserver will shoot up to 100 % CPU and stay there. We suspect that a webuser submitted a wild query or something...
Anyway, whatever the actual cause, we just run the iisreset tool and that stops/restarts IIS then everything is ok.
** This is my question. I want to set up a Performance Alert (in Computer Management --> System Tools) to intercept the 100 %CPU condition and automatically run iisreset).
But is there any way to configure the Alert to only perform the action of running iisreset if CPU usage has benn at 100 % for 3 seconds or more? (I wouldn't want iisreset to run every time the cpu spikes to 100 percent for just a bit.)
Thanks - Would really like to hear from someone who has configured this.
John
