Hi there.
We have a web site on a live server that uses asp
to control MS Word 97. It creates a word document and emails it to visitors.
In order to get it to work, the Microsoft site recommends I alter the DCOM
permissions of word on the server.
It says that I need to give launch and access permission to the following users:
System
Interactive
Everyone
Administrators
ISUSR_<machinename>
IWAM_<machinename>
My question is if I make these changes will that cause any security issues for the server that could be
exploited?
Has anyone come across this problem before?
I would be grateful to anyone if they could give me any advice
or alternatives.
Thank you
Mark
