How can I get IIS with XP? I had this with Win98SE. I need to create and test ASPs

Hello!

yes it is available in XP professional BUT it is PWS(personal web server) to support single IP. iis_guru@yahoo.com

I have the same issue. I have IIS installed off the XP disk. But my ASP pages do not load. Any ideas?

(I guess that means that XP Pro is just NT Workstation on Win2K steroids with a dash of ME.)

Do I have to use InetPub? I don't think so. I have been able to set it up in other folders before.

Hello!

Yes it is a problem with XP some times it dose not allow to execute asp pages (with http 500 error) remove the IIS (don't forget to remove firewall if there any firewall active on your machine)now reconfigure the IIS (Internet Information Services)on your machine it will work fine.

I hope this will help :) iis_guru@yahoo.com

If you are using a virtual directory remember to give scripts permission, and if the application bar is greyed out hit the "create" button. All of this is done in the Directory tab within IIS for the virtual directory in question.

Your ASP stuff will now run.
