IIS Login Problems

I have IIS running on a Windows 2003 Server.

Users can login to this server using

http://serveraddress/tsweb

- I changed the password under directory security and then rebooted the server

Previously, when users enter the url above, they were brought to a web page where the hit the 'connect' button and it then brought them to the Windows login page

Now they get an Internet login box when they type the url

I know it's probably something very simple - can anyone help?

I also get the following error on the Web page:

Http error 401.1 - Unauthorised : Access is denied due to invalid credentials (IIS)

You changed the password to the Anonymous account (probaby IUSR_servername)?

Sounds to me like you were setup to use anonymous access through IIS but authorization was being controlled by the website.

I think that you need to change the password back, or use a different windows account fro access.
