Hi,

Initally I had ASP project on Server1. This project was created using Interdev. Later I had to move this project to Server2. Using window nt explorer I copied all the files related to project from Server1 to Server2. And I made this project as web project. Now I can access the application on new server using browser.

Now I need to modify code in project. I created a new application in interdev to map to project on new server. But the project is Not listed under existing web applications list box . What could be the problem.

Thanks

My experience is that the original servername is stored 'hard' in the VID-project files. As soon as you copy the complete project-tree to another server you will be in trouble. So i do this the q&d-way:
o On the target machine i create a *new* project (with the same name as the source).
o Then i only restore all the .ASP, .HTM, .CSS etc files and *not* the files in the project root directory.
o Then i add the files to my project with the 'existing files' tab.

maybe there is a better way, but this works for me...
