IIS ICON MISSING

Hi - I am running xp pro sp1 - I have installed IIS - I believe it is working as when I browse to

http://localhost

I get the IIS documentation and if I browse to my pc from another PC on the network I get the under construction page - problem is that the IIS icon in not showing in admin tools so I am unable to configure the IIS - any help would be appreciated - thanks

Have you looked in Computer Management? Right-click on "My Computer" and select "Manage".

Hi - Thanks for the reply - tried start run mmc.exe but it is not in the list of available snap-ins for some reason - im not keen on going to sp2 but will consider it today - thanks again

to be honest most of the issues seem to have been ironed out of SP2 - i've never had a single problem as a result of installing it, both at home and at work where i manage the network.

can you not just browse to the .exe through windows explorer then create a shortcut?
