Fellow developers,

I just installed IIS on my friends desktop running XP Pro.

I am unable to run any of the intranet site I installed nor the default one. He had F SECURE anti-virus running. I unloaded it still no go.

I think the internal URL is right because I can load a static htm page (http0://localhost/dillon/calc.htm) But cannot load an ASP page!

Please help. Anything will be an improvement.

Thanks in advance,
Jerry

In the IIS Admin tool, right click on the default website and choose "Properties" from the popup context menu. A properties window will be displayed... it has multiple tabs. Choose the "Home Directory" tab and click the "Configuration" button near the bottom.

I'll reply to both responses:
1. to: Jerry, have you actually tried restarting the IIS and (or even checked to make sure they are running for that matter!)

I am able to run all of my intranet sites from my desktop, so I presume that IIS is running. Not sure what you mean by though.

2. to paraphrase: ...Choose the "Home Directory" tab and click the "Configuration" button near the bottom.

What do you want me to do after I click the "Configuration" button?

Thanks,
jerry
