I wonder if anyone can help.

I have set up an NT Server running IIS 4.0 and Exchange 5.5 acting as a BDC in a domain of only two servers, it and the PDC.

I configured Outlook Web Access within Exchange and it seems to be working fine. I use NT challenge and response security to authenticate user's logins to the e-mail system. However, when you try to attach a file to the e-mail message, it all goes pear-shaped.

Either one of two things happens, the first is the only one I have personally witnessed but apparently the second happens as well:

1. As soon as you attach the file, you get prompted for a username and password to log into the server (a popup box). It doesn't matter what you enter here, it doesn't accept it.

2. The "flying files" from folder to folder graphic just runs and the ASP page eventually times out.

The client machines are all running Windows 98 and it is all the machines that this happens on. They have quite complex security policies implemented but it doesn't matter which user you login to the network as: it does the same thing.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Jamie.
