Hi,
I'm running 2008 R2 with IIS 7.5

I'm publishing shares from another server using virtual directories / http.

IIS writes a web.config file in each and every folder. I understand that by using appcmd I can stop this and only have a single web.config file at the root of each share, instead of literally thousands of web.config files (1 for each folder) but I cannot find any info on how this would be achieved?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Kindest Regards

Phil B
