IIS 7.0 File Open Hyperlinks don't seem to work

This is a strange one, I must admit. We recently setup IIS 7.0 to mirror an intranet website for testing purposes.

However, if you click on a link that points to a file (it doesn't matter the file type. .pdf, .txt, .xls) nothing happens.

If we click on the link on the original website, it works fine.

Anyone have an idea?
