I am trying to setup default user paths in iis for ftp.

i have created an ftp user (ftpusr1) and created a folder ftpusr1 in the ftproot, i have also then created a virtual folder pointing to that folder i created.

when i logon to the ftp server using ftpusr1 it places me in the ftpusr1 folder which is good. however if i cd to "/" it places me in the ftproot folder and not the ftpusr1 folder which should be the root for this user.

am i missing something?

It's not what you know. It's who's on Tek-Tip's

i also forgot to mention if i pwd the dir when i first logon it shows as /ftpusr1 where i would expect it to show as just / as this should be its root.

i hate iis's ftp

i use filezilla server, it has none of its issues and its tiny and free...

my 2 cents :)
