iis 5.0 to iis 6.0 migration ; requiredfieldvalidator does not work

After moving my c#.net app to iis 6.0 on 2003 from 5.0 on 2000, I can not submit any forms that have requiredfieldvalidator controls.Nothing happes when I hit submit. When I take the requiredfieldvalidator controls out of the aspx page the form submits.

The same thing happened to me a few months back! hope this helps:

It sounds like a problem with the microsoft validation script library. Check you have the up to date version of the files in the aspnet_client folder in your webroot.
Running aspnet_regiis -c may install the correct ones, or search google for the latest files and replace yours.
