Hello,

I have a win2K Server running IIS 5.0. Serves HTML fine, but no ASP. Sure, sounds simple right? You've seen this issue before, I'm sure. But here's what else I can tell you...

Web site properties are set to:
- Execute Permission: Scripts Only
- Protection: Low (IIS Process)
- Local Path: Read/Write/Directory Browsing

Directory Security:
- Anonymous Access + Basic Authentication
- No IP restrictions (open to everyone)

IUSR/IWAM permissions: I have reset the passwords for both accounts in:
- Computer Management (Users)
- IIS Metabase (using the Adsutil.vbs utility)

*HOWEVER* I also see that I need to set ensure the passwords are correct in Component Services (COM+ Applications). This is according to MS Article Q297989.

Now, when I view the Component Services, I only see the following packages listed:

1. COM+ QC Dead Letter Queue Listener
2. COM+ Utilities
3. System Application

Only these THREE COM+ applications. When I check another (similar Win2K) server running IIS 5.0, I see the EIGHT different COM+ applications:

1. COM+ QC Dead Letter Queue Listener
2. COM+ Utilities
3. System Application
4. IIS In-Process Apps
5. IIS Out-of-Process Pooled Apps
6. IIS Utilities
7. IIS-{Default Web Site} ++
8. Visual Studio APE Package

++ Allows me to set the password on the IWAM user acct.

So, my question...

Does the fact that I only see the 3 COM+ apps have anything to do with my problem? Steps to resolve?

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance for the response!
