Disable the default website and run the wizard to create a new one. When you are creating the new one you will be able to specify paths.

If everything seems to be going well: you don't have enough information.......

I've installed IIS 5.0 and now I want to manage remotely. But when I access the website all I get is Under COnstruction. I sthere a way of accesing it, besides being at the console itself???

Thanks

Jeff is right if you are running a server version of W2k. In the Pro version, you can only have 1 web site - to change the default directory, open IIS, open the properties for the web site and choose the "Home Directory" tab - from here you can set where http traffic is directed to.
Same Goes with FTP Services

@maktub -
correct me if i'm wrong, but IIS cannot be managed through a browser. For remote management from another 2000 machine, go into computer management, manage another computer, and once managing the remote computer, open up "Services and Applications" then IIS from there.

I also faintly remember IIS 4 being able to do remote administration, but haven't the foggiest way how.

Good Luck!

Just a simple question, For hosting a site, when requesting to browse the site (which is set up using flash), a download request window pops up, what is the most likely the cause of the problem, if MIME types have been configured correctly?
