I have created some web sites with FrontPage2003 under IIS 6 on a WINDOWS2003 server. When a user tries to submit a form, he/she is prompted to enter a network password. These same sites were on a W2K IIS 5.0 server and worked fine. I used the migration tool to bring the sites over to the new server. Also, when testing locally, the forms work fine. As soon as I go live with the new server, the form submission fails. Any ideas? I have checked folder security, IUSR permissions, etc, but no luck.

What do the forms do? Write to a database? Check the permissions on the database. Make sure IUSR has write right there too.

This sounds to me like where ever you are trying to direct the user to from the form needs to authenticate them.

I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.

Regards,

Mark
