hi, i have a vb6.0 application, and im using Crystal Reports 9.0 to make my reports. im trying to use a graph in my report, using the control and it works fine, but im having problem with the labels, is there a way to put the labels of the series in a vertical shape? because i have a lot of data that is displayed, and i get everything on top of everything... ive been looking in the properties but i cannt find it... can anybody help me?

and another question.. is it possible to grow the graphic according to the amount of data it is displaying?? thank You very very much

Eli

You might want to try the "Auto-Arrange' feature in the CR report designer. Click on the chart and then right-click and select "Auto-Arrange' menu item.

Or if you want vertically oriented text, you can right click on "Format Chart " and then "Selected Item". That brings up the format dialog. One of the options there is "Rotate". Set this to rotate either 45 or 90 degrees.

I don't know much about VB. However, if you can get to the "Chart Options" dialog then you can do the following:

1) go the "look" tab
2) Select "legend placement" and set it be "below chart"
3) Now set it be 'right of chart' again.

This will force an implicit auto-arrange for you.

Actually to change the rotation of objects and such, you need to first click on the chart so it is selected, right click and select 'Chart Analyzer', from there, select the item you want rotated (a box will appear around it), right click and go to 'Format Chart' then to 'Selected Item'.

i don´t have the option "chart Analizer"
