IFSMGR.vxd fatal error

Hello

Everytime i connect to the internet on my Windows 98 pc, after a short time i get a fatal exception.

the error code is 0028:c02b19e0 ifsmgr.vxd (4) + 000130f4

if you continue after this error the system just hangs. Can anyone help ???

Try to uninstall your modem, reboot the pc and reinstall the modem. Search also for the latest updates for the modem.

I have tried that, but to no success.

I think it may have something to do with ie 6. I have stopped using internet explorer and started using netscape, and now the errors only happen around 1 in 10 times.

Also, what seems to have happened is that my PC has lost the ability to shut down. If you select 'shut down' it re starts !
