Hi

I am looking to update my site and thinking of using an IFrame, however I have heard that these do not work with Netscape, now I could just ignore that problem and assume that such a small amount of people now use Netscape that it won't matter. But I don't want to take that approach, what's the best way to implement an alternative to the IFrame if someone checks out my site using Netscape? I have a "no frames" version of the site, should I simply leave that and assume Netscape users would view that instead?

Thanks

Naiku

Hi,

If you wish to use IFRAMES for netscape then you actually have to use ILAYER. IFRAME is for IE and ILAYER is for Netscape. If you have SSI enabled on your server then you can use an SSI script to determine if the user is using Netscape or IE and depending which one they are using display the appropriate tag. As for the other browsers I think they use IFRAME too and you might need to get a script to check for a variety of different browsers.

Hope this helps!
