I have booted into mode 1 for some reason. I wanted to find the mac adress of the machine. Normally I would do a ifconfig, but I guess since I have booted into level 1, ifconfig doesnt retrn anythng. Where's the mac adress stored. ??

ifconfig shows the MAC address...

[root@cp root]# ifconfig
HWaddr 00:01:02:C5:25:3D

Look for that line. To boot back into runlevel 3...

telinit 3
