HI,

Need help. I have a client you issued "ifconfig" command and used an interface that is on a defined state. those processes that had been issued hanged. I tried to kill those processes but to no avail. Their parent process is root so I can not kill the parent process. Another command that hangs is entstat. Is there a way for me to remove those processes?

Your help is very much appreciated.

thanks a lot

Have you tried..

kill -kill pid pid pid

This will normally get rid of most processes.
