If I remove the 2nd processor is it going to hurt the system?

One of my systems is a dual processor box and i want to remove the processor and put it in another machine. I'm comfortable with everything but one of my compatriots is concerned about removing the processor and what effect it will have on the machine.

Do i need to return it to the single processor HAL? If so, what's the process?

after you remove it, the HAL will downgrade on it's own. Not a problem.
