Okay.... win_98 doesn't want to save any of my system setings. (i.e.): display adapter, pci sound card, dial-up settings, screen settings, or joystick configs?

Within the heart of the story of my bootlog.txt, the only things misloaded would be mrci.vxd.. cant seem to find this file on the instalation disk..

Does this files have anything to do with it, and could this be a problem with an acess level (if there is any in win98), or a corrupt pwd file?
have you tried looking at the control pannel under users, might have it set where not every user has their unique settings. Also I've often notice win98 only saves the hardware settings if it manages to shut down correctly(seems to float registry items in memory, but then saves them when you shut down, or reboot, why i dont know, sounds stupid).
