I am trying to set a field not to be editable if the field has been filled.

Not sure how to tackle this one

Essuming you mean in a HTML form, you can't, ASP runs on the SERVER and has no interaction with the client browser.

Make the fields style status disabled if there is content in them. You can check in ASP if the variables have values that you want to load into the HTML input boxes, and put the inline style description based on their content.

Or write them as straight text (not in an input) if there is content.
