I've been installing McAfee 4.5 on client's PCs and now everytime they exit out of Explorer, they get this error message. Also, if they try to run Scandisk, it will freeze half way through. Does anyone know a fix for this? I tried installing McAfee under safe mode but it didn't work. Any help will be appreciated.

Boot to DOS (safe mode DOS if necessary).
Edit the autoexec.bat and config.sys and remove any lines referring to McAfee.
You don't need a DOS scan when it loads into Windows anyhow.
Personally, I would never use any of those bloatware scanners (Symantec's Norton included), and instead get InoculateIt.
