IEXPLORE RUNTIME ERROR!

No matter what I am doing in MSIE I keep getting this runtime error. And it says:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\IE\IEXPLORE.exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information.

I have done everything that I know of to resolve this to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do next?

Well, your solution would be quite valuable if I had OfficeXP installed on my system, which I do not. I am running Office 2000 Professional.
