IEAK and AVS fails

I'm trying to run IEAK, and everytime I try to "update" anything, it crashes and closes.

"ieak6wiz.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program.

An error log has been created."

I searched MS, and they say to "delete the update folder". That doesn't work.

Any suggestions?
