I just upgraded to IE7. Some good and some bad things, however trying it out. When I right click on a Favorite and then select open in new tab, the page does open in a new tab, however, that new tab is activated. This is geat. The same thing happens if I click a link on a page. Is there a setting someplace that I can change that will open the link clicked on a web page in a new tab but not activate the new tab? Hope this is explained clear enough....

TIA for your help!!

I don't think so since by clicking on the link you ARE opening that link.

The answer is "42"

Tools, Internet Options, Tabs-Settings buttion, uncheck 'Always switch to new tabs....'

That's the way that I work also. If I want to look at something later, I open it in a new (non-active) tab. By the way, if you have a 3 button (scroll wheel) mouse, a middle click will directly open a new tab. (No need for right-click, move down, left click).
