IE6 will not always display pictures.

Hello

I hope someone can help me.

I am using Internet Explorer and have a problem concerning the displaying of pictures on various websites.

An exmaple I can give is that on the ebay home page I get no pictures (a red cross is displayed), but once I enter an item to search for, the results page displays the ebay logo, ebay buttons, and any other pictures that are present. Whereas on other sites I always get the pictures displayed.

I have tried 2 things in Internet Options; (1) making sure that IE looks for the latest version of the page every time it visits it, and (2) ensurnig that the show pictures option is ticked.

Are there any other options that I should be ticking? Can anybody help?

Are you current with Windows Update site, particularly the IE Cumulative updates from November, 2003 and February, 2004?
