I am using IE6 on Windows XP Professional, and it has suddenly developed a wierd problem. Everything is fine until I open a new window, and then suddenly the mouse cursor starts to flash between the normal arrow and the hourglass.

Checking the processor usage for iexplore.exe shows that it is jumping from between 0% and 25% every second or so. The only way to stop this behaviour is to restart the browser?

I cannot repair because it was installed by default. Does anyone have any other ideas as to how to avoid this other than using a different browser?

Thanks

Stuart
