IE6 Rendering problems

Recently my browser has had trouble showing certain webpages. Images are often squeezed into a very small area, are often out of place, or repeated several times throughout the page. It all seems to be related to images. So, I tried uninstalling IE6 SP1 on my Win2k machine. This brought it back to IE5.5. Same problem. I reinstalled IE6 and I still have the same problem.

Any ideas?

Yes,it definitely sounds like a Java problem. Follow my instructions in the thread supplied by blakester.
