if i load a large GIF file on IE7 it adjusts itself to fit to page, but IE6 doesnt do this, is this a new feature in IE7 that i cant have in IE6 or can i configure something to make that work?

Print autosizing was added to IE7, it does not exist in IE6 natively. You could save the GIF locally then open it with Picture & Fax viewer - printing from there will give you the abilty to scale it down to 1 printed page.

It can be turned on in IE6 but can be annoying if you really want to study the lage picture.
Code:
tools > internet options > advanced > Enable Automatic Image Resizing

audiopro, are you sure that's realted to printing? AFAIK, that applies to screen display only.
