I having problem to browse the web site with IE6 in Win98 & W2K prof machine. from the Dos prompt I can ping the web site both IP Address and ping by serve name. Just can't browse the web page. Anyone can help? In the same network, Win95 & Win XP machines have no problem to surf internet.

Thanks

Can you pull up the page by the IP address instead of just the DNS address? If yes then it is a DNS issue. joegz

Thanks for your reply....

I can't pull out the page by IP Address. but I can ping the web server. If this is because DNS problem why other machine like WinXP or Win95 can access Internet ?

Is there a proxy server being used? joegz

It is because of Ms Proxy client installed in the machines. After removed the client software, problem solved. Thanks
