Recently, I upgraded from IE5.5 to IE6 by installing ie6setup.exe from MS website. Now when I go to Help and check the IE version, it shows Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 but under the version it shows 6.0.2800.1106 with update versions as SP1. Now I'm unable to access certain websites as it says that my browser is not supported. I had uninstalled and reinstalled but still no luck. Anyone has any ideas?

When you upgrade? to version 6.0 Java web sites generally won't work without a Java plug-in. We use Sun Java so I don't know if the M$ VM will do the trick with all the web sites. We had some issues with some of the web sites using VM that's why we went with Sun.
