IE6: Hover and Visited Hyperlinks 1

I've been playing with dynamic link styles in my current project, and I've noticed that (at least in IE6; I haven't tried other versions yet, and I know that "hover" is IE-only) the settings for "visited" seem to override anything in the way of settings for "hover"; when I move the mouse pointer over a visited hyperlink, the style does not change. Is there any way to reset links so that (for lack of a better metaphor) they always think that they haven't yet been clicked?

Thanks,

This will seem strange, but it works like a charm. You need to make certain they're listed in the style sheet in this order:
[ol][li]a:link
[li]a:active
[li]a:visited
[li]a:hover[/ol]
Weird, it's true, but try it, you'll like it.

You're right; that *is* weird. But I have a friend who used single malt scotch to dissolve the thermal glue holding heatsinks onto video card RAM in order to apply better heatsinks with better thermal epoxy in order to overclock the bejeezus out of it [bugeyed], so I've gotten a bit more accustomed to weird solutions to otherwise insoluble problems (pun fully intended). (Kids, don't try this at home, especially if you're under legal drinking age... whatever that may be for where you are.)

Anyway, thanks, Genimuse! U get a star!
