IE6 and document.body.scrollTop

Can anybody help me. I have a script which uses event.clientY + document.body.scrollTop to position a window. Since IE6 the documeny.body.scrollTop always returns 0.

I have found a solution to my problem.

if(document.documentElement.scrollTop)
{
y=event.clientY + document.documentElement.scrollTop;
}
else y=event.clientY + document.body.scrollTop;
