I'm having a bit of trouble installing IE6. The installation of files completes properly, but when I restart my computer and the system files are updated, it gives an error:

"Not enough free memory to run PSTORES.EXE"

Thing is, I have 600K of free conventional memory (according to the MS-DOS mem program) and 512MB of RAM.

IE6 will still run, but whenever I get a DNS error or 404 error, it crashes. For instance, if I tried to go to or IE would crash.

Any ideas on how to fix?

Strange,

I got The page cannot be displayed when trying this one;

Click Start, point to Programs, and then click MS DOS Prompt.

Type the following command:

c:\windows\system\pstores.exe -install
NOTE: This command replaces the correct ProtectedStorage registry key.

Quit all programs and restart the computer.

if that doesn't help:
