New modem (Motorola SB5100) supplied by Rogers (provider) and can't get any speed (15 minutes for a 3MB data file). Works fine on the other PC (Windows 98). We're not networked, but have always justed physically moved the cable modem from one Computer to the other and had no problem (One Windows 98 PC using IE6, One Mac G4 running OSX.2 using IE5 for Mac). Made no changes other than having to reset DHCP. The Mac IS connected, just NO SPEED!!!

Any ideas...???

Solved...hardware.
The Mac is on a seperate cable line. The new modem is using a new standard and only one outlet in the house is capable of providing the required signal. Will have to buy new cable wiring.

Thanks, Peter.
