IE5 and MS Word Integration

Does anyone know of a way of getting a WEB application using ASP to be able<br>to :<br>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Launch MS Word on the same client<br>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Be able to talk to MS Word from the ASP page (Say Open a file or run a<br>macro)<br>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Be able to move data from the WEB Browser to MS Word.<br><br>This is easy with a thick client (sorry, Rich client), but I have no<br>experience of doing this from a WEB client and need to urgently.&nbsp;&nbsp;Can I get<br>Java to do this ? and if so, how ?<br><br>As someone has previously raised the question WHY you would want to do this as malicious code can be propergated this way.&nbsp;&nbsp;I will tell you it is for an imaging/workflow customer who will run this across their intranet.&nbsp;&nbsp;The workflow system is in control, via ASP, of the Word docs and their macros.&nbsp;&nbsp;That is the ASP presents the Word doc whitch it pre-populates with data from and HTML/ASP page.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><br>Thanks for any help you can give.<br><br>Warwick<br><A HREF="mailto:warwick_montagu@hotmail.com">warwick_montagu@hotmail.com</A><br><br><br><br>
