PLEASE HELP!!!! Using IE5.5 and MSWord 97. I have received instructions to make corrections to a file. After I get to the place in the web site, it tells me to "click on FILE and then go to EDIT WITH MICROSOFT WORD and click" The Word Window is displayed. After a couple of seconds the following message is displayed " Microsoft Word - The Windows registry has reported that one or more required files are damaged or missing. To correct this problem, run the Word Setup program." I did removed MSOffice 97 and reinstalled completely. Tried it again and still got the same message. Also, I tried to do the same in a different PC (same software). Eventhough I did not get the message, the file was not captured by WORD. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

To be frank, I'd get rid of IE 5.5 for starters and upgrade to 6.0 SP1. That's your call, though.
I would like to know - pertinent to your problem - what type of file you're being asked to edit. What the scenario here?
"After I get to the place in the web site..."???????
I guess I need more info specific to the problem. Is this a web site anyone can go to? If so, post it so I can see if I have the same problem.
