I noticed that RECETNLY, my IE5.5 would crash under any two of the following circumstances
1) At a site with HTML Form (non JavaScript) where (incidentally) there are two text box fields), as I enter something in one text box and then move to the second text box (using the keyboard or mouse), IE instantly crashes. Whether I entered text in the first or second text box first would cause the same problem
2) Same as 1 but crashes AFTER I clicked the submit button (non JavaScript once again). example would be the login page at
I am running IE5.5 with SP2 on Windows NT workstation 4.0 with SP6a.

Btw, applying Security Patch Q316059 doesn't help to solve the problem either!

The 'Repair' option does not solve the problem
nor does
Overwriting the existing installation!
