running win98se, upgraded to ie5.5 from ie5
problem 1- on certain sites getting run time errors, mainly to do with java i think?

problem 2- when clicking on a link within the web browser to take me to another site i get a blank browser and nothing else. if i copy link and paste into address bar it will work, but never had this trouble before.

getting annoying and i`m pretty sure done everything except a format and reinstall, so looking for some major help. also if all else fails and avoiding a format, how would i go about taking ie5 out of windows and starting afresh.
many thx.

Go to Internet Tools in the Control Panel and click on the advanced tab. Once there check EVERYTHING BUT the following…
Check for Publisher’s certificate (BOTH of these)
Print Backgrounds (unless you like printing them of course)
Always show IE Radio toolbar (Unless you like this)
Display a notification on every script item
Disable script debugging (I leave this unchecked because I make WebPages so you may want to check this.
Everything else should be checked.
