I had some indetermined problem with an XP Pro installation.. and decided to re-install XP Pro and all the drivers.. It has a dial up connection...

Done

Now try IE... it is faster...

But seems to be attacked by something ? Popups saying "we are MSoft, and you are infected with this or that,,, go to this website and download software...

I wasn't born yesterday so I did not... sounded like a IE attack..(did I guess right ?) . BUT ever since, the IE has been playing up , for example it won't find google or hotmail , or it is inconsistent in the connection...
so I thought that I would load up SP2 (warts and all)... But the Microsoft Website is as friendly as the tax man.

Question: Is there anywhere I can download a file to install SPII withoud using the web assisted download...

What I want to do is... download the SP2 on an ADSL link computer and save to a disk... then install on the dial up computer with XP ...

Can I do it ?

Thanks
