IE Won't display a Page and it's blinking....

Hi. I have an XP computer. I have a problem with IE. After running Norton Anvirus and Spybot.. I tried to open IE but doesn't display any page. it says finding site... opening page (i.e

http://www.yahoo.com)

and then the text refreshes to opening

http://www.badurl.com

and the text and the cursor are blinking.... Do you have any idea what is happening?

Try to ping yahoo and then enter the IP address instead of the name. You will not receive any replies but it will give you the address.

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.
