I am using IE6 on a Dell 650 workstation with Win XP Pro.

My problem is that after using IE for a while the performance dies and IE eventually becomes useless. I am the domain admin and have the temp. internet filles set to 100 MB. If I go to the temporary internet files setting after this slowdown has occurred, temp internet files show up a 0 MB! At this point I can not increase the size of the temporary files cache at all. I also can not move the temp files location as it tells me there is not enough space (there is 94 GB free) to do this.

All other programs run fine during this phenomenon. Rebooting is the only thing to restore the temp file cache, but the problem keeps happening.

Any ideas of what may be causing this odd behavior? I am using Netscape 7 in the meantime as a workaround with no problems.

Thanks.
