Hi,

Recently reimaged a PC that had spyware on it that I could not remove regardless of what I did. Everything else seems fine with the computer now, but when I boot up and login and try to acces IE, the windows doesn't open sometimes for minutes.

Also noticed that at times when I go to do a shutdown, the PC never shuts off and I end up having to hold in the power button to power down. Any suggestions on what's going on or how to fix these isssues? Thanks.

What did you reimage it with? (ie, was it image from identical machine known to be working properly?). If that is so, then it sounds like you have a hardware issue with your machine (RAM, PSU, mobo, anything in fact).

What was the spyware you couldn't remove - or could that have been a manifestation of bad hardware? Were there other problems with machine previously?

Test your machine from Safe Mode to see what happens.

If the fault disappears, try the next logical step.
